2024-starting from the feet up!
Happy New Year! In 2024, we have decided to work through the body from the feet up to the head. We will spend one week on anatomy and physiology, one week on stability, one week on strength, and one week on mobility for each body part. This is a detailed breakdown so that you have a deeper understanding of how each body part functions alone and as a whole and how you might, strengthen, stabilize or mobilize each joint/muscle group/section.
We are starting with the feet. Did you know, there are 33 joints in our feet alone? This does not include ankles!

The joints in the feet are made for stability so that each time we take a step, our foot can navigate the terrain. Those 33 joints are able to move just slightly, just enough for us to keep our balance and be sure footed. Those joints are covered in muscles, tendons and ligaments. The feet have so many joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments and provide our firm foundation to standing upright, walking, and all movement. I posted previously on the importance of our feet here.
So take care of your feet so they can support you!
